Category dice games have a long lineage: sailors played Yacht in the early 20th century, Latin America has Generala, and Puerto Rico's Generala-style games share the same skeleton — five dice, three rolls, a scorecard of one-shot categories. The format's genius is that it converts pure luck into a stream of decisions: every turn ends with a small, sometimes painful choice about which box to burn.
A little probability sharpens play considerably. Landing five-of-a-kind on a single throw is a 1-in-1,296 shot, but with three rolls and smart keeps it comes up roughly once every 22 turns — rare enough to celebrate, common enough to chase. The upper-section bonus changes the calculus too: experienced players treat three-of-a-kind in sixes not as a payout but as a down-payment on that bonus.
Score the most points by filling every category on your score card with the best dice combinations — from simple number tallies to a full five-of-a-kind.
Click Roll to throw all five dice, then click the dice you want to keep before rolling the rest again, up to three rolls per turn. When you are happy, click the score-card category where you want to record the result. Each category can only be used once.
Upper-section categories score the total of the matching numbers, while lower-section categories reward combinations such as three- and four-of-a-kind, full house, small and large straights, and the top combo of five-of-a-kind. Filling the upper section well can also earn a bonus.
Chase the big combos early in the game while you still have flexible categories to fall back on, and use low-value rolls to fill the categories you are least likely to score well. Keep an eye on the upper-section bonus and try to bank enough number tallies to reach it.
How many rolls do I get?
Up to three rolls per turn — keep the dice you like and re-roll the rest between rolls.
Can I reuse a category?
No. Each score-card category is filled only once, so choose where to record each turn carefully.
