Cheat — also known as Bluff or I Doubt It — is a free online card game built entirely around bluffing. You play cards face down while announcing what they are, but you do not have to tell the truth. The catch is that any opponent can call "Cheat!" if they think you are lying. Play in your browser with no download and no sign-up.
It is a brilliant mix of nerve, deduction and reading your opponents. Easy, Medium and Hard settings make the computer players better at spotting your lies and bolder with their own bluffs, so the mind games get tougher as you climb.
Cheat is played around the world under a crowd of names — B.S. in North America, "I Doubt It" in older rulebooks, and local equivalents in dozens of languages, including the Russian favourite that translates as "trust or doubt". It belongs to a family of bluffing games that need nothing but a standard deck and a straight face, which is why it has been a sleepover and pub staple for generations.
Under the silliness there is real deduction. Because you can see your own cards, every claim an opponent makes can be checked against what you hold — if three kings are in your hand and someone claims to play three kings, the arithmetic does the accusing for you. Strong players balance card-counting with theatre, sometimes telling the truth suspiciously just to bait a wrong challenge.
Be the first player to get rid of all your cards. Play cards to the central pile in ascending rank order, bluffing when you must, without being caught cheating.
Select one or more cards from your hand and play them face down as the announced rank, then confirm. When it is not your turn, click the Cheat button to challenge the previous player's claim. If a challenge is correct the liar picks up the pile; if it is wrong, the challenger does.
There is no running score — the goal is simply to empty your hand first. Getting caught cheating, or wrongly accusing an honest player, forces you to pick up the whole discard pile and sets you back.
Bluff early while the pile is small so a failed challenge costs little, and try to play honestly when opponents are watching you closely. Track which ranks have already appeared so you can call out impossible claims, and vary your behaviour so opponents cannot read your tells.

Be the first to play all of your cards onto the pile, bluffing as needed without getting caught.
What happens if I am caught cheating?
If someone correctly calls Cheat, you must pick up the entire discard pile.
